Each year the Nominating Committee seeks nominations for positions on the Board of Directors. The call for 2025 Board nominations is open September 11 to October 4. This nomination cycle we have 4 positions open – Vice President, Treasurer, State Presidents Council Representative and House of Delegates Representative.
Candidates for the Board will share the association’s commitment to the development and advancement of skilled and committed clinicians, medical practitioners, and leaders to provide person-centered, goal-concordant care across all post-acute and long-term care settings. They will bring an open mind to the Board’s discussions and be willing to share their knowledge and expertise with the Board. PALTmed Board members typically have a record of service to the association and a strong commitment to the PALTmed mission and vision for the future.
Desired attributes include a previous experience serving on a board and actively involved in the practice of post-acute and long-term care medicine. This year we are seeking candidates with the following traits and characteristics: practice in a rural care setting; strong business acumen (financial management experience); expertise with the business side of medicine (practice management); and knowledge of technology/informatics.
The PALTmed Board of Directors provides fiduciary oversight of the association and works collaboratively with the Executive Director and staff to advance the association’s priorities. The Board is responsible for protecting and directing the future practice of PALTC, setting the strategic direction of PALTmed, responding to timely issues, and identifying programs that support needs of the membership.
