I am pleased to submit my application for the position of Vice President of PALTmed. With over 20 years as a general member and five years of service on both the PALTmed and Georgia State Chapter Boards, I bring a deep foundation in organizational knowledge, governance, and strategic engagement. During my time as Chair of the Infection Advisory Subcommittee, I led efforts to assess the risk of COVID-19 to our post-acute care patients and helped form a nimble COVID task force to respond quickly and effectively. As the situation evolved, I recommended to the executive committee that we sunset the group—ensuring our resources remained focused and responsive. It was a real-time demonstration of adaptability, stewardship, and staying mission driven. As Treasurer, I’ve led not just through financial oversight, but by setting a clear vision and building consensus, and driving progress. I led the prioritization of a modern website—improving our member experience and operational efficiency. Years ago, I spearheaded the creation of a protected investment fund that continues to support PALTmed’s financial strength today. I also championed the need for a leaner, more efficient structure to support the executive director—decisions that were sometimes difficult, but ultimately vital for our long-term sustainability. For me, leadership means doing the right thing for the organization, even when it’s not easy. The Vice President role calls for forward thinking, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the professional and business landscape our members face. With a strong background in business, and deep experience in finance and its effect on operations, I am keenly attuned to emerging trends and challenges through data and strong professional relationships, and I am committed to ensuring our strategy continues to reflect the needs of our diverse membership. I am confident in my ability to partner effectively with the President-Elect and to lead the Chapter Presidents Council with purpose. I look forward to fostering open, productive communication and strengthening chapter leadership and engagement across the organization. Strong, respectful relationships are at the core of how I lead. Whether working with board members, chapter leaders, or external partners, I prioritize collaboration, transparency, fairness, and trust. I also bring a consistently positive and inclusive approach to every interaction—creating space for all voices to be heard and for diverse perspectives to shape our path forward. I understand and am prepared for the responsibilities of this position—from service on the Executive and Finance Committees, to supporting the President, contributing to strategic planning, and ultimately transitioning into the President-Elect role. I am committed to full participation in board activities, maintaining confidentiality, supporting the Executive Director, and making contributing to the Foundation. It would be an honor to serve as Vice President and to help guide PALTmed through its next chapter with energy, vision, fairness, and integrity.
