THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) supports provision of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provider status for the Consultant Pharmacist to long-term care facilities;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) supports passage of Federal Senate Bill S.109 and House of Representatives Bill H.R. 592;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) work with the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, American Health Care Association, Leading Age, Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association, and likeminded professional organizations to influence CMS to enact this change.
