BE IT RESOLVED, It is the position of the Missouri Association of Long Term Care Physicians that HCFA’s requirement for certification of Medicare SNF and Medicaid beds be changed so that a certain number of beds within a nursing facility may be allowed to be certified for Medicare SNF or Medicaid status, with the facility thus being free to flexibly apply the certified status to any specific bed within the facility, as appropriate, thus avoiding unnecessary disruptive movement of residents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, PALTmed is encouraged to adopt this position and convey it to HCFA and the AMA House of Delegates.
