B94 - Medicare Skilled and Medicaid Certified Beds in Nursing Facilities

RESOLVED: It is the position of the Missouri Association of Long Term Care Physicians that HCFA's requirement for certification of Medicare SNF and Medicaid beds be changed so that a certain number of beds within a nursing facility may be allowed to be certified for Medicare SNF or Medicaid status, with the facility, as appropriate, thus avoiding unnecessary disruptive movement of residents.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: PALTmed is encouraged to adopt this position and convey it to HCFA and the AMA House of Delegates.
