PALTmed resolves to strongly urge the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to work with vaccine manufacturers in order to develop a mechanism for the dissemination of vaccines that gives highest priority to the extremely vulnerable nursing home and Assisted Living facility resident populations and staff, so they may be afforded the benefit of timely and comprehensive vaccination programs; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) offer its expertise and knowledge of long term care to the CMS and CDC in this endeavor.
