THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) work with the American Medical Association (AMA) and other interested parties to seek legislative action modifying the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) regulations to ensure that all eligible professionals who meaningfully participate in VBP programs receive appropriate compensation on their Medicare charges for the attributed population to compensate them for added administrative costs involved with quality measure reporting when such VBP programs result in savings for CMS but they fail to meet the CMS threshold for shared savings.
Note: Effective August 13, 2024, AMDA - The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine is now Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed).
