D20 - Requirement for Minimum Education Standards for Medical Directors in Post-Acute and Long-Term Care

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) supports and encourages initiatives, including model legislation, (i.e., Maryland), to promote minimum education standards for Physicians serving in the role of Medical Director in PALTC;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that state-specific minimum education standards would include completion of a specified number of initial and maintenance education credits related to medical direction in PALTC.
