THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) work with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other stakeholders to address the issue of appropriate use of Quality Indicators in the post-acute and long-term care population in quality programs such as the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS);

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that PALTmed work with organizations such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, National Quality Forum (NQF) and the American Medical Association convened Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (PCPI) in order to establish appropriate, evidence-based quality measures for the post-acute and long-term care population.
