THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) advocate for inclusion of the existing Bundled Payments Care Improvement (BPCI) Model 3 Post-Acute care bundle in the Advanced BPCI program so that physicians working in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and SNFs are allowed to initiate episodes of care bundles;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) work with American Medical Association, American Healthcare Association, Leading Age, Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association and other likeminded professional organizations to urge Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to enact this change.
