The issue of whether to initiate CPR in residents in long-term care facilities must acknowledge the right of residents to direct their course of treatment within the limits of recognized medical efficiency. The policy of PALTmed is to provide the highest quality of medical care to all long-term residents and their families in conformity with contemporary ethical and medical standards.
