THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) create a White Paper to address policies around the provision of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in nursing homes and education of stakeholders as to the medical effectiveness of CPR in the frail elder population in the event of full cardiac and respiratory arrest;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that PALTmed work with other professional organizations to further promulgate information to healthcare professionals and consumers to promote informed decision-making about CPR by patients and their families.
