Blood pressure (BP) control in the elderly is often limited by poor compliance with prescribed regimen. Both can be influenced by clinical cognitive or mood impairments; however, the impact of subclinical alterations of cognition or mood remains unknown.
Keeping the Core Curriculum on Medical Direction in PALTC educational program fresh, relevant, and of maximum utility for participants is an ongoing priority for Luz Ramos-Bonner, MD, MBA, CMD, and members of the Core Curriculum Faculty Subcommittee.
“Ethics is a key component of the engine that makes an organization run. It helps guide not just clinical care but medical direction and leadership,” said Timothy Holahan, DO, CMD, chair of AMDA’s Ethics Subcommittee.
AMDA has long understood and appreciated the power of the states to influence change and have an impact on policy. In recent years, the State Based Policy & Advocacy (SBPA) Subcommittee has taken up this baton and run with it.
