The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), has announced the formation of a new Healthcare Advisory Committee. The committee will serve as a strategic body of experts tasked with advising HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz. Its mission is to improve the financing and delivery of care across key federal programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program, and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

As part of this effort, CMS is now accepting nominations for committee members. Individuals with expertise in chronic disease prevention and management, healthcare financing, and delivery system reform are encouraged to apply. Nominations may be submitted by individuals or organizations and must be received by September 22, 2025. Selected members will be announced later this year.

For more information or to submit a nomination, review the Federal Register Notice.
