Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) has elected its 2026-2027 Board of Directors. Leslie Beth Eber, MD, CMD, is president; Diane Sanders-Cepeda, DO, CMD, is president-elect; and Dallas Nelson, MD, FACP, CMD, is vice president.

Dr. Eber is board-certified in internal medicine and is a Certified Medical Director. She has provided medical directorships for both long-term care facilities and hospice, and is the medical director for multiple facilities as a part of Rocky Mountain Senior Care. She is dedicated to patient care as an attending physician at Rocky Mountain Senior Care. Dr. Eber is a clinical advisor for the PALTmed Moving Needles CDC grant: Improving Adult Immunization Rates for COVID-19, Influenza, and Routine Adult Vaccinations through Partnerships with the Long-Term Care Professional Society. Dr. Eber was awarded the AMDA Medical Director of the Year for 2021. She is committed to elevating the care for those with dementia through her work with the Colorado Dementia Partnership. Dr. Eber is the immediate past-president of PALTmed – Colorado.

Dr. Sanders-Cepeda is a senior medical director for UnitedHealthcare Retiree Solutions, where she leads clinical strategy, quality improvement, program development, and innovation. She has expertise in health reform and advancement, population health, culture change, post-acute and long-term care system development, and hospice and palliative care models. She collaborates with employers and plan sponsors nationwide to improve quality, affordability, and care delivery for retirees. A geriatrician and Certified Medical Director, Dr. Sanders-Cepeda has dedicated her career to expanding access to care and addressing social and behavioral health risks in rural, underserved, and vulnerable communities. She also believes in professional volunteerism.

Dr. Nelson is an active medical director, professor of medicine at the University of Rochester (UR) in New York, director of the UR Medicine Geriatrics Group, and vice president of the UR Medicine Home Care Board of Directors. In addition, she is the 2024 AMDA Medical Director of the Year and just finished her term as Board secretary.
