In this episode, host Dr. Karl Steinberg, MD, CMD, and editor-in-chief Dr. Elizabeth Galik, PhD, CRNP, discuss the special section on artificial intelligence (AI) in our March/April issue of Caring for the Ages. Special Guest Lisa Lind, PhD, ABPP joins to discuss the potential for AI to alleviate loneliness amongst residents in long-term care settings, cautioning that AI should augment and not replace real human interaction.

Drs. Steinberg and Galik also discuss our cover story on the basics of AI in post-acute and long-term care, as well as Karl's personal experience with AI.

And finally, congratulations to the winners of our Caring essay competition, whose essays appear in this issue!
