You’ve probably already heard the good news—registration is now open for PALTC26, which will take place from March 26 to 28 in Anaheim, CA. While there are many reasons to attend the premier conference for post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) professionals across the interdisciplinary team, here are the top five:

  1. A cutting-edge educational program. The Program Planning Workgroup has developed a comprehensive program featuring exciting new additions, alongside familiar favorites. The new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Showcase will feature presenters from Aarista, PointClickCare, Saisystems, and Netsmart, who will discuss and demo AI products and services There’s also Topping the Charts—Clinical Hits for 2026, a series of 30-minute presentations with timely clinical updates regarding common medical conditions in older adults like chronic heart failure, COPD, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. This year’s workgroup also welcomes the return of In the Trenches, with table-top discussions on a variety of timely topics, as well as sessions on billing and coding, deprescribing strategies, improving staff retention, QAPI, transitions of care, and more.

Kenya Rivas, MD, FAAFP, CMD, chair of the Program Planning Workgroup, says the goal of the education program is to help attendees “stay ahead of the curve with the latest advances in geriatric medicine, care transitions, policy updates, and emerging technologies that are transforming PALTC practice.”

  2. Unmatched networking opportunities. The conference is the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones from all areas of PALTC. As Dr. Rivas says, “PALTC26 offers the chance to connect with clinicians, medical directors, pharmacists, administrators, and thought leaders from across the country, offering new insights you can apply to your local care settings.” There’s the always-popular Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday and the PALTC26 Mixer at the Anaheim House of Blues on Friday evening—not to mention multiple breaks each day that offer time to catch up. And if this is your first conference experience, you won’t want to miss the First Time Attendee and New Member Meetup before heading to the Welcome Reception. Check out the full schedule for additional details.

  3. Interactive exhibits. The Exhibit Hall offers ample opportunities to meet with vendors, check out the latest products and services in PALTC, and, of course, grab fun giveaways to bring home. The hall is open all three days of the conference and is a great place to spend time with your fellow attendees.

  4. Action-packed location. Discover everything Anaheim has to offer. “From world-class dining and entertainment to the magic of nearby Disneyland, Anaheim offers the perfect backdrop for learning, networking, and fun,” notes Dr. Rivas. Disneyland is a short drive away, but downtown Anaheim is walkable, with numerous dining, shopping, and tourist destinations nearby. It doesn’t hurt to bring an umbrella, just in case, but the average temperature in March is in the high 60s with sunny skies.

If you’re planning to spend some time at Disneyland—The Happiest Place on Earth—PALTmed is pleased to offer conference attendees a 10% discount. Get more information here; note that tickets must be purchased in advance and are good from March 21 to April 1.

  5. Virtual Learning Track. If you’re unable to attend the conference in person, the offers access to three live-streamed General Sessions, 14 live-streamed sessions, access to all recorded conference sessions through May 13, a virtual scientific poster wall, and an online exhibitor directory. If you change your mind and decide to join us in Anaheim, you can revise your registration without incurring a change fee.

“We can’t wait for you to join the heart of the PALTC community at PALTC26, where innovation, expertise, and inspiration will come together under the California sun,” Dr. Rivas says. “You’ll be able to recharge your clinical passion and leadership skills and connect with your colleagues. See you in March!”
