THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed), supports a state-specific minimal credentialing standard, to include verification of identity and professional licensure.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that prior to initiating service(s), all health care providers (including Physicians, Non-Physician Practitioners, and other Allied Health Care Providers) practicing in the PALTC setting must submit to the appropriate organizational designee, at a minimum, a current government issued photo identification (e.g., driver’s license), a current state issued professional license, related to the service(s) provided, and, as appropriate, a current DEA certificate.
