25 years of PALTC practice and leadership taught me a few things. While I have always been vocal about things that I believe in, over the years I learned to listen more and work on achieving consensus rather that necessarily convincing others of my point of view. I do continue to question status quo when appropriate and always welcome vigorous debate. Once the decision is made I have been very successful in getting buy-in across the team. I have been running my own business for the first 20 years of my career; making connections, understanding finances, and working with numbers are my strengths. For the past 5 years I have been working for a large healthcare system including the last 2 years in the System Medical Director role. This experience gave me a different perspective on PALTC arena as well as medicine in general, and will be invaluable in a potential Board role. It would be an absolute privilege to be on the Board of the organization that I have considered my professional home for the past 20 years. You can count on my utmost dedication to Board's mission of making PALTMed stronger and assuring that the organization continues to thrive in the everchanging healthcare environment.
